Uncle walt
guitar
A fine Englishman taught me “Shaking All Over” and told me to check out Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I fell in love with his playing - and the Stratocaster! A few thousand hours in garages, and playing with my little brother “Carrot” in South Coast band The Scapegoats, and next thing ya know I’m taking a ride in the Cadillac….
MAJOR GUITAR HEROES:
I have to say that would be Carrot, and then it’s on to Buddy Guy, and the Texans - Johnny Winter, Albert Collins, and those other brothers, Stevie and Jimmy Vaughan . And recent explorations into The Meters and other funky masters!
MUSICAL APPROACH:
Music and money don’t mix! Just choose people you REALLY want to play with, and good things will happen.
IF I COULD PLAY IN ONE OTHER BAND:
I would like to have been Johnny Winter’s bass player, but I’m no match for Tommy Shannon.
CURRENTS:
Putting together a fully equipped rehearsal/creative space for the band. Just want to ride the Cadillac til it runs out of road - nothing gets in the way of that…. except the Barramundi tides!
