CONTINUING on our little series of the " day after gigging" , sure just walk into @theeveleighhotel and eat Sri Lankan curries and watch a trip with Clayton Dooley.... it'll be on to @brewdogsoutheveleigh to catch some music by our friends Simon, and then @bvhnewtown for the Sunday sessions! keep it live. .... can't say ethnographic about last night @pyrmontbridgehotel .... Sam and the crew looking after us, a full house warming up for a big Saturday night, plus a new friend of the band from North queensland; he and his mates had been to the races, lost a " ton of money", but insisted on putting a hunny on the bar for the band...a small best on the right horses?? ..... see you @horses.el next weekend??? One of the main delights of of giving is meeting salt of the earth people that become close friends, like Sean and Oonagh... they cancelled their romantic birthday dinner for Sean last night to enter this mayhem... on the condition that his happy bday song be "Going Down" by Freddie King.. perhaps strangely appropriate for these higher number birthdays, though we do insert some positive lyrics in there! The fireworks... he didn't know those were coming! Big thanks to @steverobinsondj for the licks, and a shout out to the @pyrmontbridgehotel staff, turning that bar area into a dance arena and looking after us so well!! This place is dedicated to love music so get it on your card!! Where is that crazy Irishman? IN THE SHAPE OF A HEART: what a great way to finish 2023 for HDC : a second album launch with @ elhorses going off , and a Recovery Party gig for a 3 day wedding bash @thewoodsfarm! ( this isn't exactly INSTA gram as we had to recover from the recovery party!)... a big heart like this one : it's been an amazing 2023 for us, thanks to all of you for such energy at the shows, the venues for persevering to provide live music and leading us make a joyful noise, and all who put so much soul and hard work into recording....
