Sushi Horns
Baritone Sax / Trombone
Kaiki and Sunny Suzuki
And like Pearl, when Festival Time, or the Spring, Summer and Fall Boogies are on at Lazybones, or El Horses, or anywhere the band is feeling like they want that big horn sound to take the crowd higher, in come the Sushi Horns, with Kaiki on Trombone and Sunny on Baritone Sax, and some saucy vocals as well!
The band was lucky enough to make this connection when Wayne asked them to come along to one of the band’s private function gigs, as they had played together in the same band in the past…… kaboom !!
Both of them have a rich musical past as well : For a long time Sunny was a jazz singer in a Trad band, every Sunday in Sydney, and started on the path of baritone
richness about 5 years ago.
They also “created” Jazz Sushi in Sydney, which is still going today, and moved into
Sussex Inlet about 7 years ago now, where they run Island Sushi, one of the finest
food trucks in the land.
