Romie
guitar
The most unassuming muso amongst the very talented Panucci family
Romie jumped in the Cadillac via the amazing JJ Spence band. Nello found him serving coffees at Frankie‘s coffee caravan in Culburra and after numerous deep musical and philosophical conversations, pathways synchronised.

Romie found love for the guitar at the age of 6. He started out listening to early 2000’s punk, rock, pop and Flamenco style music. As he entered his early teens he was shown (by his big older sister) bands like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath , Red hot chilli peppers etc, all bands which have heavily inspired his style of playing. Gigging by the age of 14 at Rad Bar (Yours and Owls), it was obvious that that playing guitar ( and bass, and drums) was to become the ultimate form of expression for Romie. As he puts it : “ there is no limit for how much you can give it (maybe the limit is smashing a guitar, a nice one anyway)”
Romie LOVES the south coast life, and it infuses a slow steady beachy feel into his blues, acid rock, and world music soundscape.
Romie also writes and records his own music under the name Romie-O and has a release called “ScatterBrain” among other various singles.
